When
The idea behind Disiu Ltd. was born between 2019 and 2020, when a small business commissioned the development of a custom app. However, the project didn’t move forward due to costs that were too high and inaccessible for a local business. From that experience came a reflection: if creating an app is too complex and expensive for small businesses, perhaps it’s time to build a tool that puts everyone in the position to do it independently and easily. That spark became the beginning of a new approach to digital.

Where
The society Disiu took shape in Galway, Ireland, a vibrant city yet marked by significant challenges for small entrepreneurs. Here, local businesses struggle to keep up with large digital platforms, often forced to pay high commissions or give up digitalization altogether. There are no truly accessible alternatives. In this context, the need arose for a tool that not only put the business at the center but was also economically sustainable and tailored for entities with limited resources.

Originally designed for the restaurant sector, Disiu Ltd. soon expanded its scope: management issues, lack of useful tools, and service fragmentation were not limited to restaurants but affected many small businesses. Hence, the idea of an all-in-one platform that combines features such as offers, bookings, notifications, customer profiles, and more—all within a simple and customizable space. A system designed to reduce customer loss, increase loyalty, and give freedom back to business owners. All this without intermediaries and without complications.
