WHEN
The idea behind Disiu was born between 2019 and 2020, when a small business commissioned the development of a customized app. However, the project did not move forward due to the high costs, which were unaffordable for a local business. From that experience came a reflection: if creating an app is too complex and expensive for small businesses, perhaps it’s time to build a tool that puts them all in a position to do it independently and with ease. That spark became the beginning of a new approach to digital.

WHERE
Disiu took shape in Galway, Ireland, a vibrant city but one marked by significant challenges for small entrepreneurs. Here, local businesses struggle to keep up with the big digital platforms, often forced to pay high commissions or give up on digitalization altogether. There are no truly accessible alternatives. In this context, the need arose for a tool that not only puts the business at the center but is also economically sustainable and tailored specifically for businesses with limited resources.

HOW
Initially designed for the restaurant sector, Disiu quickly broadened its scope: management challenges, lack of useful tools, and fragmented services were not issues exclusive to restaurants but affected a large portion of small businesses. From this came the idea of an all-in-one platform that combines features like offers, bookings, notifications, customer profiles, and more — all in a single simple and customizable space. A system designed to reduce customer loss, increase loyalty, and give freedom back to those who run a business. All of this, without intermediaries and without complications.
